Nick Kyrgios suspended after positive cocaine test

Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios has been provisionally suspended from tennis after testing positive for cocaine following a sample taken during the Mallorca Open in June 2026. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) confirmed the suspension, which has been in effect since August 4. Kyrgios publicly apologized on Instagram, citing the mental and physical toll of injuries and the difficulty of nearing the end of his career.
