Hegseth announces testosterone screening for military troops

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Wednesday that U.S. military service members aged 30 and older will undergo mandatory annual testosterone screening as part of their routine Periodic Health Assessment. Troops diagnosed with a deficiency will be offered voluntary testosterone replacement therapy, while service members under 30 may opt in voluntarily. The announcement has drawn both support and criticism, with some Democratic lawmakers calling for the program to be extended to female service members as well.
