Plane Crash Involving Truck at LaGuardia Airport

An Air Canada Express regional jet (Flight AC8646) struck a Port Authority firefighting vehicle while landing on Runway 4 at LaGuardia Airport in New York late Sunday night, March 23, 2026. The collision killed both pilots and hospitalized dozens of passengers, crew, and firefighting officers. The airport was closed for investigation and later reopened at reduced capacity Monday afternoon.
