Trump fires Attorney General Pam Bondi from administration

President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday, April 2, 2026, after reportedly growing dissatisfied with her performance, particularly her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files release. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who previously served as Trump's personal criminal defense lawyer, was elevated to acting attorney general.
