Catastrophic Nepal Tibet floods kill hundreds missing

Catastrophic floods along the Nepal-Tibet border, triggered by a glacial collapse high in the Himalayas, have killed hundreds of people and left over a thousand missing. A massive surge of water, ice, mud, and rock swept through river valleys, destroying bridges, roads, and communities on both sides of the border. Rescue operations have been hampered by damaged infrastructure, high river levels, and deep sediment deposits.
