Lindsey Graham's sister appointed to Senate seat

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster appointed Darline Graham Nordone, the younger sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, to serve as his interim replacement following Graham's sudden death from an aortic dissection on Saturday. Nordone will serve out the remainder of Graham's term, which expires in January 2027, after being recommended by President Trump and supported by Senator Tim Scott. A special Republican primary is scheduled for August 11 to determine the party's nominee for the seat.
