Ukrainian drone attack kills people inside Russia

A Ukrainian drone strike on Nizhnekamsk, a city in Russia's Tatarstan region approximately 1,100–1,200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, killed at least 13 people and injured dozens more, making it one of the deadliest single Ukrainian attacks on Russian soil since the start of the full-scale war in 2022. Ukraine's military stated it targeted an oil refinery in the city, while Russian officials confirmed civilian casualties including one child. Russia vowed severe punishment for those responsible.
