Vehicle rams into crowd at Berlin Pride event

A van drove into a crowd attending Berlin's Christopher Street Day Pride festival on Saturday evening, killing at least one person and injuring dozens more. German authorities identified the suspect as 21-year-old Abdul Ballout, described as having ties to Islamic circles in Berlin and a prior conviction related to attempting to join ISIS. Police launched a manhunt, the Pride event was called off, and Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt characterized the attack as an Islamist terror attack.
