Hantavirus-stricken cruise ship arrives at Tenerife

The Dutch-flagged cruise ship MV Hondius, at the center of a deadly hantavirus outbreak, arrived at the port of Granadilla de Abona in Tenerife, Canary Islands, on Sunday after weeks at sea. Three people have died in the outbreak, and passengers from more than 15 countries were evacuated by nationality onto specially arranged repatriation flights under strict safety protocols. The complex multinational operation was overseen by Spain's health and interior ministers alongside WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
