Iran Strait of Hormuz ceasefire and US conflict

Iran reopened the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels on Friday during a ceasefire period, but quickly reimposed strict military control on Saturday after the U.S. declared its naval blockade of Iranian ports would remain in force until a peace deal is reached. The standoff escalated further when Iran's Revolutionary Guard fired on ships attempting to transit the strait, while diplomatic talks continued through Pakistani mediators with a fragile ceasefire set to expire by Wednesday.
